God Bless Maddie on her First Holy Communion! I had so much fun capturing this special occasion, and doesn't she just look stunning? Maddie is an amazing dancer and of course we had to incorporate just a few ballet slipper shots for fun:) If I can showcase the beautiful, fun-loving, carefree, and just-a-bit goofy personalities of my clients, then I have done my job well! Maddie was just perfection!

One of the best decisions I have ever made was to participate in the Day Seven Workshop this past fall. The farm, the location, the fellow photographers, that light, and the chance to learn from the best! Thank you Erin witkowski and abby Mortenson for inspiring me and letting us into your world. I can't wait to see where my journey takes me...
Every once in a while, I get lucky and Jane will agree to a photo shoot. At thirteen, I'll take what I can get:) Sometimes, I seriously just can't believe it-THIRTEEN! Watching and witnessing your baby grow and mature each and every year is honestly one of the most amazing parts of motherhood. Although I want to grab her and squeeze her, slow it all down, I know I have to embrace it and let her shine her own beautiful light. Forever my muse, I am always in awe of Janey's beauty but even more than that, I am so inspired by her own uniqueness and self confidence. I LOVE that she is never afraid to BE HERSELF especially at an age when peer pressure reigns. What a gift to not care what others think and an amazing lesson--one I wish I had at her age.
Styling this shoot made me realize how much I love documenting this age. Getting to see the world through a teenager's eyes, and showing the beauty within....perfect to boost self-esteem in a such a fun way! Just being yourself...
