I'm So Excited To Announce My Studio Holiday Mini-Sessions!  These Will Be Just For The Kiddos, And Will Take Place In My Home Studio In Wayne, New Jersey.

 So You May Be Asking Yourself, "Are These For Me?"  Well, These Would Be PERFECT For You If:

  1. You want to check the Christmas card photo stress off your list in November- DONE!

  2. You don't want to shlep to the mall, stand in lines, wait for hours, touch germy props-(this one used to skeeve me out;), all with mediocre results and no personalized attention.

  3. And finally, you don't have to worry about the weather outside. we'll have fun and you can leave happy!!!

Every once in a while, I get lucky and Jane will agree to a photo shoot.  At thirteen, I'll take what I can get:)  Sometimes, I seriously just can't believe it-THIRTEEN!  Watching and witnessing your baby grow and mature each and every year is honestly one of the most amazing parts of motherhood.  Although I want to grab her and squeeze her, slow it all down, I know I have to embrace it and let her shine her own beautiful light.  Forever my muse, I am always in awe of Janey's beauty but even more than that, I am so inspired by her own uniqueness and self confidence.  I LOVE that she is never afraid to BE HERSELF especially at an age when peer pressure reigns.  What a gift to not care what others think and an amazing lesson--one I wish I had at her age.  
Styling this shoot made me realize how much I love documenting this age.  Getting to see the world through a teenager's eyes, and showing the beauty within....perfect to boost self-esteem in a such a fun way!  Just being yourself...

It is with great excitement that I introduce to you the latest photography project I have been working on for some amazing ladies!  Announcing Whole Body Academy, a New Jersey summer camp based in Rutherford and Mahwah for children ages 8-13 years old.  Their mission is simple: to build the foundation necessary for children to become their best self and to lead a happy, healthy life through improved health, nutrition, stress reduction, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and character building.  Please check out their website to learn more at www.wholebodyacademy.com   

Valentine's Snapshot Studio Sessions are now available in Wayne, New Jersey!

I'm so excited to announce that Jessica Justin Photography now has a studio for those cold winter months when you just want to celebrate a special milestone or holiday, and you don't want to bring your baby and kids out into the cold.   I am now offering something I call Snapshot Sessions.  They are shorter sessions to capture a quick milestone, holiday, or special birthday!  They run for about 30 minutes and include 5 High Resolution Digital Files delivered in an on-line Gallery.  In addition you will receive one 8x10, two 5x7's and 8 wallets of your choice.  These packages cost $225 and are to be paid in full upon booking to secure the date and time. All sessions are located in Wayne, New Jersey.

The Big Apple Shoot Out-Brooklyn, NYC-80's Style!

It's no secret that I LOVE the 80's!  Big hair, bright colors, and awesome music...the inner 80's child in me was in heaven!  If you haven't been to The Bushwick Collective in Brooklyn, NY, it is a must see!  This was the perfect location for our urban 80's shoot.  Block after block-completely covered in amazing street art and murals.    Check out the designs on these outfits by Neon Kisses Inc.-Perfection!   Walk down memory lane with me...

This quote resonates with me.  I am the forever student...always seeking, always learning, always watching everything I can get my hands on!  This can only get you so far...Photography is different.  Action is important.  I need to TAKE the pictures, not just READ about it!  This shoot was a combination of both.  Surrounding myself with talented photographers in a creative stylized photo shoot was both "learning and doing" from some of the best out there.  What a fantastic journey!  This was "Day One" of our hands-on shoot out....more to come--80's style!!!  Thanks so much to Stephanie from Lemmonmade Photography and Mila from Mila Wells Photography for this amazing opportunity!

Fair Haven, New Jersey Family Photographer

This photo shoot was very special to me.  This beautiful mom is like a sister to me and we have been best friends since elementary school.  When she decided to move over an hour away, I was definitely sad, but why?  Distance only makes the heart grow fonder, right?  After being there for each other during so many of life's special moments, it was only fitting to document the start of their new lives.   So honored to be able to capture their love for one another...

 

 

West Caldwell, New Jersey Photographer~These siblings are going back to school in style!

How cute are these back to school outfits? These two rocked their photo shoot!  So grateful, because it almost didn't happen.  It literally rained ALL the way there-0% chance of rain by the way!  But my prayers were answered.  It stopped within five minutes of arrival, and gave us just the time we needed.  These two were so adorable in every way. She just adored her older brother, and how he wanted to pick just the right flower for her and mom=priceless.  And then those outfits-totally rocked it:)  Oh, and for the record, it poured all the way home!  Some things were just meant to be.

Long Beach Island Family Tradition

As another summer rolls to an end, I wanted to share a tradition my family embraces each summer.  For eleven years we have enjoyed renting the same beach house in beautiful Holgate, Long Beach Island.  It is our little oasis on the Jersey Shore.  Nine of us living together in one house for one week--a little crazy at times, but cherished none the less. A tradition. Some may think doing the same thing-same place would be boring, NOT us.  Instead, we anticipate our "traditions"...meeting at the diner at 9 am for breakfast before getting into our house...our first dinner out and mini-golf night...the rides and games at Fantasy Island-each year getting a little braver...the annual treasure hunt my dad and daughter create together for her younger cousins...dusk on the beach...kites...bikes...the water park..ice cream at Bay Village (almost every night)...cocktails on the roof top deck watching the best sunset ever!  Looking back, this special week is what started my love of photography-of capturing my daughter through out the years.  I fell in love freezing the story of our week.  We now have eleven photo-books documenting each year.  Many events stay the same, but it is priceless seeing the kids grow up and the joy that only the beach can bring!

PLAY for P.I.N.K. Charity Event at Maplewood Country Club

I had the pleasure to photograph an amazing event that took place at  the Maplewood Country Club in Maplewood, New Jersey last week.  Being a portrait photographer, I don't normally do events, but I knew that volunteering for such a great cause would be worth it!  Here's a little about PLAY for P.I.N.K... (Prevention, Immediate Diagnosis, New technology, Knowledge).  First of all, I LOVE that this is a grassroots organization dedicated to raising funds to fight breast cancer through lifestyle and sporting events.  One of the best parts is that they contribute 100%, yes I said 100% of all proceeds to their sole beneficiary, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation which funds the world's top researchers.  To learn more, or to give to this fantastic foundation check out:                       www.playforpink.org

Sure, everyone wants that perfect posed picture once in a while, but capturing life's little details can evoke so much more.  
Whether it's documenting a family vacation, a special event in your child's life, or just your everyday craziness-capturing the unique details will create memories you and your children will look back on and love.
When my daughter was born we started a family tradition of vacationing for one week every summer at the Jersey Shore.   Each summer I would tell our story through countless pictures and create an album compiling all of our cherished moments.  My family loves receiving these as precious keepsakes of our favorite place.  
Each book makes us laugh and cry to see just how fast time flies...  This summer, tell a story with your camera-you won't regret it!

Jessica Justin Photography, Senior BFF Photo Shoot in Asbury Park, New Jersey

Greetings from Asbury Park, New Jersey!  There is nothing like the Jersey Shore...beautiful beaches, gorgeous sunsets, and who could forget the amazing Boardwalk food.  I was so excited to bring four best friends to explore the Asbury Park beach and boardwalk for an adventurous photo shoot.  We had a blast!  These seniors have the whole world ahead of them and are beautiful inside and out:)  Here's to the Class of 2016!
